As long as you feel the same emotions of the past, you will relive the same stories. Let me explain.
Emotions such as fear, anger, guilt or sadness activate the sympathetic nervous system, the one linked to survival. Your body is then on alert. It secrete adrenaline and cortisol to protect you from an immediate danger. No matter whether it is a wolf in front of you or a memory of the past, the effect is the same.
So every time you think back to a situation in the past that hurt you, your brain revives the scene. Your body releases the same hormones and the same chemical reactions. Your body is believing in the past. On the other hand, emotions with high frequency, such as gratitude, joy, love, are created in the present moment. They do not belong to a memory of the past.

They activate the coherence between the heart and the brain, which calms the nervous system and opens your consciousness to other possibilities. When you deeply feel gratitude for what it is, or even for what is to come, you get out of the past to connect to a new reality. Your body starts to believe in this future, which I remind you already exists in the field of possibilities. So the next time you feel a high emotion, tell yourself, that’s it, I’m not attracting the same stories anymore, I’m creating my future.
